Edward G. Verlander

Edward Verlander has consulted for over twenty years for an international clientele that includes banking, insurance, brokerage, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, software, wine distribution and the spirits manufacturing industries. Earlier in his career, Dr. Verlander was with the Boston-based, executive development / strategy consulting firm of Harbridge House, Inc., and the investment banking firm of Goldman Sachs & Co., where he provided organizational consulting services. Still earlier, he managed management education for SCM Corporation, and directed management development at the British firm, Lex Electronics, Inc.

Clients include: JPMorganChase, MetLife, Marsh McLennan Companies, Rohm & Haas, Microsoft, DuPont, Consolidated Edison, Bank of Montreal, Mobil, San Miguel Corporation, Deutch Börse, CommaSoft, Sun Microsystems, GE Capital, Parke-Davis, KPMG, Warner Lambert, Florida Power, The Discovery Channel, Schering-Plough, Nature Conservancy, PepsiCo, United Distiller / Guinness, Southern Wine & Spirits, and Coca Cola.

Dr. Verlander earned a B.Sc., an MBA degree from the University of Connecticut, and Masters and Doctoral degrees from Columbia University. While earning his doctorate at Columbia University he directed and taught in Columbia’s summer Executive Program and the Sales Management Program, among others. He was an adjunct professor at Columbia and has taught management courses in the graduate programs at Long Island University and St. John's University in Queens, New York.

Dr. Verlander has published a number of articles including "Executive Coaching" published in 1999 in a new book on Leadership Development. Articles have been published in Human Resources Planning, The Journal of Management Development, The Training and Development Journal, Absatzwirtshaft, and Training Directors Handbook. He is a trustee of the Sherborne School Foundation, the Doubleday Babcock Center, Oyster Bay; the Community Foundation, Oyster Bay; and an Advi-sory Board member of the Marsh McLennan Institute.

Born in England, he now lives with his family in Oyster Bay, New York. In his spare time, he enjoys gardening.
