Madge Lyman is a member of the Marketing Faculty at Henley Management College, Henley on Thames, England. At Henley she teaches in the modular and distance learning MBA programs. She also contributes to their Executive Short Courses and specific company programs, both degree and non-degree awarding. Madge is the Theme Group Leader for Marketing and oversees the Doctoral students in the DBA and PhD programmes. Her current interests lie in Strategic Marketing Planning, Branding, and Mobile communications. She has worked with Ford Motor Company, British Aerospace, Praxair, Colonial Mutual, British Telecom, Nationwide Building Society, Deutsche Telecom, Intercontinental Hotels, and various National Health Trusts.
Madge also teaches at the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University, in the Netherlands. Previously, Madge was an Adjunct Professor at Columbia University Graduate Business School and an Assistant Professor at the University of Connecticut. Prior to this she worked in Account Management at Benton and Bowles Advertising in New York City.
A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Madge received her PhD from Columbia University and her MBA in Marketing from New York University. Her BSc. in psychology and education was from Syracuse University.
Madge currently lives in England, where she oversees the education of her five children, and is very active in community service. She serves as a Governor of Cirencester College, an Ambassador for Gloucestershire, and a member of the Promotion and Publicity Committee of the Gloucestershire Development Agency.
